Today was the last Math Curriculum class of 2010, and our last class with Robin!! We got to use the Virtual T1-83 Calculators and go through a tutorial of how to work them. I thought they were really cool! They give great visuals and are really good for comparing graphs quickly. I'm still not sure if I would use these in my classrooms. To me I think that this tool might be a way for students to get away with not knowing how to graph graphs without the use of technology. One of the students in our class (I forget who said it) suggested that you could hook the calculator up to the projector and use it as a class. I have to say that it was a great first semester! I can't wait until my placement in the high school so I can try out all my new strategies that I have learned!
